Southeast Missouri State University's International Student Activities Council will accept donations next week for Central America's hurricane victims.

Canned goods, baby supplies, cleaning supplies and monetary donations will be accepted Monday through Friday in the University Center lobby.

Members of the International Student Activities Council will accept the donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Donations also will be accepted at International Night, set for Nov. 14 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the University Center.

Dr. Ramiro Icaza, a local physician and native of Nicaragua, plans to deliver the donations to his homeland when the drive is completed.

Hurricane Mitch, one of the most violent hurricanes to ever hit the Caribbean, devastated the coasts of Honduras, Nicaragua and other Central American countries.
