This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the NBA lockout?"

David Hoffman, Scopus

"The players are greedy and they don't have that hard of a job so they should play more for fun and settle for less money because they don't need it anyway."

Jack Snyder, Cape Girardeau

"I'm not too much of a professional basketball fan, but I really feel sorry for those people the lockout is hurting at the arenas -- it's not working. And, if you really look at it closely the players are not hurting at all. Look on TV at the commercials and that will tell you a lot."

Gary Lange, Jackson

"They're both making too much money. The owners are making too much money and the players don't deserve what they are getting paid now. I would rather watch college basketball any day."

Donald "Gabby" Johnson, Cape Girardeau

"I think the players want too much money. I think they should just stay locked out."

Mike Schmidt, Cape Girardeau

"I say go for it. If I was an owner I could care less whether they have NBA basketball the rest of this year. I'm for the owners."
