During a medical emergency, help could be in the cards -- Medi-Cards.
The new "Medi-Card," an idea of Dean and Wendy Coleson of Sikeston, is a laminated card that provides an on-the-spot medical profile of its carrier.
The card includes name, address, phone number, health history, surgeries, doctor, insurance information and any allergies to medications.
The card is designed to be carried in a wallet or purse.

The Colesons devised the card about six months ago.
"My husband is allergic to a number of medicines," said Wendy Coleson. "I used to jot them down on a piece of paper. We decided to devise a type of medi-card which would include that information."
Today, Medi-Card is available to anyone.
A number of pharmacies in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Jackson and Southern Illinois have brochures and applications for the card.
