BUSINESS MEMO: SPARTECH DIVIDEND

The Spartech Corp.'s board of directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 6 cents a share, payable Oct. 8, to shareholders of record Sept. 24.

Spartech recently reported record third-quarter results of $177.7 million in sales and net earnings of $9 million.

Spartech, headquartered in St. Louis, has two operations in Cape Girardeau -- Spartech Plastics at 2500 Spartech Drive and Spartech Compounding on Nash Road. Spartech is a leading manufacturer of engineered thermoplastic materials and polymeric compounds.
