Austin Acquisitions, professional real estate investors which opened operations two years ago, is adding private investors to its list of clients, in the business of buying and selling notes on residential and commercial property.

Holding notes is a good investment for anyone, says Austin Acquisitions owners Ross and Cynthia Austin.

"We've been working with corporations and businesses since opening the company but will now offer opportunities to individuals," said Ross Austin.

Opportunities are open for investments from as little a couple-thousand dollars up.

Austin Acquisition buys and sell notes on properties ranging from single-residences, commercial, industrial, farm and raw land.

Anyone in the real estate businesses in any aspect is a potential customer, say the Austins.

"We can work with everyone, from the investor wanting a high, safe rate of return to the bank officer wanting to sell a note, or property."

Ross Austin left his job with a computer company in 1995. He and his wife, Cynthia, attended schools and training sessions on investments and real estate, and started Austin Acquisitions as a home-based business at Whitewater.

Cynthia Austin, who has been in real estate for more than 1 1/2 years, is chief financial officer of Austin Acquisitions. She is a real estate agent with ReMax Achievers in Cape Girardeau and works with United Country Real Estate at Anna, Ill.

The Austins moved to Jackson during the past year.
