The Shaw Group, a division of Shaw Management Corp., headquartered in Belleville, Ill., which assists people in Social Security disability and railroad retirement disability claims, recently observed its 10th anniversary at its Cape Girardeau office.

The Cape Girardeau office, 416 S. Kingshighway, serves Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois, Northern Arkansas, Western Tennessee and Western Kentucky. James F. Ferguson, who has more than 13 years experience in Social Security disability, is branch manager of the Cape Girardeau office. Other staff members of the local office include Tammy Cotner, claims specialists, and Cherish McClinton, assistant claims specialist.

In attendance at the open house were James Shaw, president and chief executive officer of Shaw Management Corp.; state Sen. Peter Kinder; John Mehner, president of Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce; Mary Ann "Micki" Gudermuth of SEMO Alliance for Disabilities; Phil Wagner, Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation Service; and Dennis Hubbard, vice president of administration for the Shaw company.
