NEW BUSINESS: GYMBOREE OPENS IN WEST PARK MALL

Gymboree will celebrate its grand opening at West park Mall Saturday.

Gymboree features children's clothing and accessories, including an exclusive line of active wear and accessories for boys and girls from newborn through seven years old.

The new Cape Girardeau store, which opened recently, is part of an ongoing plan to bring exclusive lines to many new markets throughout the U.S., said Gary White, Gymboree president and executive officer.

The Gymboree Corporation, headquartered in Burlingame, Calif., has more than 490 stores in the U.S., 13 stores in Canada and 167 in the UK and Ireland.

During the grand opening, a free gift will be given to first 100 customers, with the doors opening at 10 a.m.

Gymbo the Clown, Gymboree's mascot, will appear at the store from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities at the store will include face painting during the same hours.
