BUSINESS MEMO: ACQUISITION COMPLETED

Spartech Corp., headquartered in St. Louis, has completed its purchase of Anjac-Doron Plastics Inc., a custom profile extruder based in El Monte, Calif.

The acquisition, said Bradley B. Buechler, Spartech president and chief executive officer, will increase Spartech's profile extrusion capacity and expand the profile extrusion geographic coverage to serve customers in this segment of the plastics industry.

The acquisition price for Anjac-Doron was about $6.7 million.

Spartech is a leading producer of engineered thermoplastic materials, polymeric compounds and molded products.

Spartech has two operations in Cape Girardeau -- Spartech Plastics at 2500 Spartech Drive and Spartech Compounding on Nash Road.
