A lecture on comets, including the Hale-Bopp comet, will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Rhodes Hall, Room 121.
Dr. Michael Cobb, chairman of the physics department at Southeast Missouri State University, will present the lecture.
The Hale-Bopp comet, which is visible in the early evening and early morning, has generated local interest in comet sightings.
The lecture, titled "Comets, Comets, Everywhere," will review what scientists know about comets.
