OAK RIDGE HANDS OUT SCHOLARSHIPS

Oak Ridge High School graduates have received several scholarships and awards.

Amy Strickland received the $5,000 Drury College Scholars Award, the $2,000 Bright Flight Award, the $1,000 Drury College Dean's Scholarship, the $1,000 Procter & Gamble Award, the $500 Leadership Award, the $500 matching scholarship and a $50 savings bond from Boatmen's Bank. She is the daughter of Paul Strickland and Sally Strickland.

Lindsey Thomas received the $500 Knights of Columbus Scholarship, the $250 National Honor Society and a $50 savings bond from Boatmen's Bank. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thomas.

Renee Schoen received $500 scholarship from Union Planters Bank, $300 scholarship from SEMO Girl's State. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schoen.

Jeremy DeGroot received the Bright Flight Award and the $15,000 DeVry Scholarship. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry DeGroot.

Sarah Riehn received the $1,500 SEMO President's Scholarship and the $500 Union Planters Scholarship. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Riehn.

Brandy Boyd received the $1,000 MFA Scholarship. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Borgfield.

Matt Mangels received the $500 scholarship from Citizens Electric of Ste. Genevieve. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mangels.

Jennifer Kerns received the $250 scholarship from Gerald Jones, presiding commissioner of Cape Girardeau County. She is the daughter of Rose Couch and Victor Kerns.

Kirt Ruehling received a $250 scholarship from Oak Ridge Athletic Boosters. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ruehling.

Kacey Schaper received a $250 scholarship from Oak Ridge Athletic Boosters. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Schaper.

Todd Rainwater received a SEMO music scholarship and the $50 Roger Kolaski Music Scholarship. He is the son of Brenda Summers.

Lindsay Baer received the $200 Oak Ridge CTA Scholarship and the $200 scholarship from Three Rivers Community College. She is the daughter of Donna Thompson and Richard Baer.

Mackenzie Davis received the $100 Oak Ridge Town Board Scholarship. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Davis.

Stacy Bohnert received the $100 Hester Myers Scholarship. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Bohnert.

Carrie Ruesler received the $100 Student Council Scholarship. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ruesler.

Brandy Zoellner received the $100 Oak Ridge Town Board Scholarship. She is daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Zoellner.
