A boil water order issued last Friday night for the Hillcrest Subdivision was lifted Thursday, according to Amanda Koehler, the subdivision utilities manager.

A water main had been leaking and when a plumbing crew dug up the pipe Friday the problem was worse than expected.

The main was replaced on Friday, with water samples being sent to the Department of Natural Resources.

The boil water order was in effect from Friday until the samples were tested and considered safe. The boil water order was removed at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
