Gina Beussink has joined the staff of Orthopaedic Associates of Southeast Missouri, P.C.

Beussink is a registered occupational therapist with the group's hand center, which specializes in the rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremity impairments.

Beussink is a graduate of Washington University School of Medicine and has two years of experience in intense patient rehabilitation, including outpatient orthopedic rehab.

Beussink completes a team of professionals at Orthopaedic Association's Hand Center that includes the only two certified hand therapists between Cape Girardeau and St. Louis. They are affiliated with the American Society of Hand Therapists and registered with the Missouri and National Occupational Therapy Association .

William Evans of Cape Girardeau has received a $5,000 award from J.B. Hunt Transport for reaching the 2-million-mile safe driving plateau.

J.B. Hunt, headquartered at Lowell, Ark., has presented safety awards to three drivers based out of the Memphis, Tenn., terminal under the company's "Million Mile Safe Driver Program."

Although more than 300 J.B. Hunt drivers have received million-mile awards, only seven have driven 2 million accident-free miles.

Mike Burger and Harlin Oberndorfer of Baker Implement Co., 401 S. Kingshighway, has attended the Case IH Desert Vantage Point conference held Phoenix.

New agricultural equipment was introduced to the more than 3,000 Case IH dealers who attended the event. The conference included training workshops on precision farming and residue management.

Case Corp., a designer, manufacturer and distributor of agricultural and construction equipment, is headquartered in Racine, Wis.

David J. Donley, president of the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors, and a number of area realtors attended the Professional Standard Seminar, at Columbia recently.

Attending the one-day workshop were Linda Ervin, association executive; Sue Bellis, Evelyn LeGrand and Barbara Travers of Century 21 Key Realty; Carl Blanchard, Sandy Brenderman and Cheryl Huffman of Century 21 Ashland Realty; Dorothy Miller of Capitol Hill Realty; Martha Brown of Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty; and Darlene Bonney of Heartland Realty.

Sherri Oxford, a registered nurse, has been named "Employee of the Year" at the Cape Girardeau Veterans Home.

Oxford was selected from among 12 1996 employees of the month.

Oxford received a certificate and other prizes from Veterans Home Administrator Sam McVay, during the special dinner for employees during the annual employees recognition ceremony, held recently in the dinner room of the Veterans Home.

Vickie Rinehart and Terry Miederhoff, Cape Girardeau County Farm Bureau insurance agents, have been recognized for sales performances, during the company's All Star Sales Conference at Tan-Tar-A Resort at Osage Beach.

Rinehart and Miederhoff each received a plaque from Missouri Farm Bureau President Charles Kruse for achieving membership in the company's President's All Star Club.

The two insurance representatives also earned membership in the Million Dollar Club and received awards from R.L. LaFarge, Farm Bureau Insurance Cos. general manager.

Doris Jean Arnold, a sales associate for Century 21 Key Realty, has received the National Centurion Sales Associate Award based on top sales performance and customer service.

Top performers were recognized by Century 21 recently at the Adam's Mark Hotel in St. Louis.

Centurion status is awarded agents who produce in excess of $150,000 gross closed commission. Arnold produced more than $5 million in closed transactions for 1996.

Dwayne Mills of Jackson has been promoted by Cato and Grease Corp., a division of Citgo Petroleum Corp.

Mills, who has been a district manager for Cato for 13 years -- working the states of Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky -- has been named division manager of the Western United States.

Mills will relocate to Oklahoma City, home of Cato's corporate offices.

Don Vied, Sylvester Banks, Tina Rice and Jim Evans have received promotions at Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau.

Vied, who started as a cell technician in September 1995, has been promoted to the Met Lab.

Banks was promoted to B Shift Cell Leader. He started as a cell technician in May.

Rice, who started as a cell technician last April, was promoted to C Shift Cell Leader.

Evans has been promoted to a B Shift Leader. He joined Dana in September as a cell technician.s

Five hair stylists from Mane Attractions in Jackson recently attended the International Beauty Show '97, held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Jennifer Byrd, Linda Norman, Summer Myers, Cindy Luebbers and Melissa Mangels attended seminars and classes by renown artists, who demonstrated new techniques on cutting, styling, coloring and perming. Accompanying the stylists to New York was Robyn Kistner.
