ULLIN, Ill. -- Students entering Century Junior or Senior High Schools this year must pick up schedules and class assignments before classes begin Aug. 23. ULLIN, Ill. -- Students entering Century Junior or Senior High Schools this year must pick up schedules and class assignments before classes begin Aug. 23.

All students can receive class schedules from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Juniors and seniors can pick up schedules Aug. 15 and 16; freshmen and sophomores on Aug. 19 and 20; and seventh and eighth graders Aug. 21.

New students in the district should register before Aug. 20. Call the school at 618-845-3518 for more information. Physical examinations are required for children entering kindergarten, fifth and ninth grades. All new students must show proof of an exam and immunizations before the first day of classes. Student athletes and cheerleaders should have school insurance or proof of insurance on file.

Classes begin Aug. 23 for all students in the Century 100 district. Elementary students will start at 8:20 a.m. and be dismissed at 9:30 a.m. Junior and senior high students will begin at 8:12 a.m. and dismiss at 9:45 a.m.

Prior to the Labor Day holiday, elementary classes will dismiss at 2 p.m. and junior high and high school at 2:15 p.m. After Sept. 3, classes will dismiss at 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m, respectively.

Bus routes and times will change from previous years because of an extended school day. Kindergarten students will attend class for a full day and will ride regular buses.
