THREE TO HIGHWAY COMMISSION

A Kennett man was named Tuesday by Gov. Mel Carnahan to the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission.

H. Mark Preyer, an attorney with Crow, Reynolds, Preyer and Shetley in Kennett, was named with two other men to the commission, the governor's office announced.

The 37-year-old law partner holds a degree in agricultural economics and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Preyer replaces Cape Girardeau attorney John Oliver Jr. on the commission. Oliver's six-year term expired in October.

Edward Douglas of Chilicothe and S. Lee Kling of Villa Ridge also were named to the six-member commission.

Preyer, Douglas and Kling must be confirmed by the Missouri Senate before beginning duties with the commission.
