The Southeast Missourian asked students at Jackson High School about the Lady Indians basketball team that finished second in the state.

Jill Becker: "I thought it was great. At the state tournament, I think we really worked well as a team. Next year, I think they will do really well. They will have everyone back except for two seniors."

Chip Sherrod: "They had a great season. They went a lot farther than a lot of people expected them to, since they lost so many players to graduation. It shows that if you work hard enough, you're going to succeed. Second place isn't anything to be ashamed of."

Michael Smith: "I think they did exceptionally great. In the future I think we will still have a strong team. I knew they could go far, because the players could really handle the ball well, and the coaches are really good."

Brian Probst: "It was pretty good. I watched the team last year, and this year's team turned out better. I didn't think they could go to state two years in a row, but they did. I think that being there helps a team to try hard to go back again next year."

Bryan Andrews: "It was an excellent season. I figured they would go pretty far after they beat Cor Jesu. I think we should have been ranked higher than we were. I think the girls played really hard. I think they have a really good chance to win it all next year."
