During April 14 to 21, the restaurant will donate $3 from every large "the works" pizza order to the fund. The money collected will help the family pay for some of its traveling expenses, said PTA president Melba Wilmarth.

Lossing was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy about seven years ago. Last year he began having problems with his heart. Since October he has been awaiting a heart transplant.

Clippard Elementary students also have held fund-raisers for him. The school donated more than $2,000 to the family as part of its Make A Difference Day in October.
