LOYALTY DAY EVENT ON TAP

A Loyalty Day ceremony will be held Wednesday at the Veteran to All Wars Memorials in Brookside Park in Jackson. It will begin at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Grant Gillard, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, will be the guest speaker. Guest soloist will be Marsha Caughlin of Cape Girardeau.

Michael Cracraft of Jackson will play taps.

The Avenue of Flags will be displayed.

This observance of Loyalty Day is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1095 and the VFW Auxiliary. Jack Latimer and Grace Wille, Americanism chairmen of the post and auxiliary, are in charge of arrangements.

The public is invited to attend and bring a lawn chair.
