COMMERCE -- Commerce residents like their view of the Mississippi River and want to capitalize on it. So the Community Betterment Club is looking for new businesses that want to locate in the Scott County village.

To help fund some of the costs for community projects, the Commerce Community Betterment Club is selling tickets to a fund-raiser. Tickets to the 50/50 raffle will be sold until August 13, when the drawing will be held. Each ticket costs $1 and can be purchased from Mary Vetter.

The club will meet again July 9 to discuss plans for a street dance.
