AREA GROUP PROMOTES DISABILITY AWARENESS
SEMO Alliance for Disability Independence Inc. and SEMO Tech are sponsoring a Disability Resource Awareness Day at the Park Saturday. The fair will be held at Arena Park's Trinity Lutheran Picnic Pavilion from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Support Dogs Inc. of St. Louis will offer demonstrations, and a touch dog will be on display. The annual Barrier Freedom Awards will be presented to area media, retailers, employers and community services, and a humanitarian award will be presented to a person who exempliefies a commitment to breaking down barriers for people with disabilities.
Refreshments will be offered for sale, and games for children will be available.
