The United States Achievement Academy announced that Joshua Herter has been named a United States National Award winner in honor roll and mathematics. The academy recognizes less than 10 percent of all high school students.

Herter who is a student at Ste. Genevieve Middle School, was nominated for the award by Sherri Palmer, a teacher at the school. Herter will appear in the United States Achievement Academy Official Yearbook which is published nationally. Herter is the son of Tim and Sandy Herter of Ste. Genevieve.
