Consent Ordinances

New Ordinances

-- Grant a special-use permit to Gennettia P. and Gordon L. Galbreath for purposes of maintaining and operating a double-wide manufactured home at 133 E. Cape Rock Drive.

-- Amend the city code by establishing stop signs on Earleen Street at Kent Street.

-- Provide for a sales tax in the amount of one-quarter of 1 percent for the purposes of funding capital improvements and call an election on imposing the sales tax. First, second and third readings.

Resolutions

-- Authorize the city manager to execute a license and indemnity agreement with the U.S. Postal Service for placing certain improvements on city right of way.

-- Authorize the city manager to execute a lease with Ronald L. Woodard Sr. and Glenda Woodard for a restaurant at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.

-- Authorize the city manager to execute an agreement with Robertson Inc. for the Southeast Missouri Hospital water system improvements.

Other

-- Discussion regarding the request of the residents of the 100 block of South Louisiana Street for traffic control devices.

-- Accept the improvements completed under the 1995-96 street overlay program, authorizing final payment to ASA Asphalt Inc., and either assessing or waiving liquidated damages of $2,200 for failure of contractor to reach substantial completion on time.
