An estimated 900 students from Clarkon (Ill.), Meadow Heights, East Carter (Ill.), Naylor, Malden, Scott City, Advance, Richland, Vienna (Ill.), Viburnum (Ill.), South Pemiscott, Greenville, Zalma, Bell City, Perryville, Jackson, Marquand, Charleston, Oran and St. Augustine high schools attended Wednesday morning's performance of "Julius Caesar" by the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express at Academic Auditorium.
The traveling troupe from Virginia will present workshops at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today at the University Center Ballroom before performing "Henry V" at 8 p.m. at Academic Auditorium.
SSE will perform "The Comedy of Errors at 10 a.m. Friday, give another workshop at 2 p.m. at the University Center Ballroom, and will repeat "Julius Caesar" at 8 p.m. at Academic Auditorium.
The troupe will conclude their stay with a 10 a.m. performance of "As You Like It" Saturday at Academic Auditorium, and a 2 p.m. workshop for teachers in the University Center Missouriana Room.
