The 52nd annual Cotton Carnival will be held in Sikeston Saturday. The event is sponsored by the American Legion.

All Cotton Carnival Queen contestants will ride in floats or convertibles during the Cotton Carnival Parade, which is held prior to the crowning.

Parade line up begins at 9 a.m. at the Sikeston High School, 200 Pine St. The event starts at 10:30 a.m. The pageant begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Riverbirch Mall.

Entry fee for the pageant is $15. The contest is open to any unmarried, teen-ager attending schools in Southeast Missouri. Sikeston High School students are not eligible.
