CHARLESTON SITE OF MARCHING BAND CONTEST
The Southeast Missourian Marching Band Association will sponsor its marching contest in Charleston on Saturday, Oct. 12. About 20 high school bands will compete. The marching contest will begin at 9 a.m. through the Charleston downtown area. The field show competition will start at 1:15 at the John Harris Marshall Athletic Complex. The field show competition will start at 1:15 at the John Harris Marshall Athletic Complex. There is an admission charge.
An award presentation for the outstanding marching band in each category will be held at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Bands from Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas and Illinois will compete.
