Principals from seven elementary schools in Cape Girardeau participated in a kickoff luncheon for Project Charlie.
Project Charlie is a drug and alcohol prevention program taught to students in second and fourth grades. Every Project Charlie instructor is a volunteer.
St. Francis Medical Center is a corporate sponsor for Project Charlie.
The program is organized through the Excelsior Optimist Club, which sponsored the luncheon.
