Faculty, staff, students and the public are invited to participate in the event, which will begin at 7 p.m. in front of Academic Hall. The walk will be a quarter-mile. In case of rain, participants should meet inside Academic Hall.

The last "Take Back the Night March" in Cape Girardeau was conducted five years ago on the Southeast campus. It was started to demonstrate that women do not feel safe walking alone after dark and to protest violent acts committed against women.
