The city of Cape Girardeau will host an informational open house about the water system from 5-8 p.m. today at City Hall, 401 Independence.
Its purpose is to allow citizens the opportunity to receive answers to any questions they may have concerning the city's water system prior to the Nov. 5 election.
There are two questions on the Nov. 5 ballot that pertain to the water system. Voters will decide whether to fund improvements by issuing revenue bonds and whether to repay the bonds with a quarter-cent sales tax.
