Jo Ann Emerson will hit the road as her 8th District congressional campaign enters its final days.

The Cape Girardeau independent/Republican candidate will make a three-day campaign swing through southern Missouri aboard country music star Tammy Wynette's tour bus.

Emerson will make 18 stops on the bus tour.

The "Road to Victory" trip begins at 9 a.m. today with a send-off from Republican headquarters at 231 S. Broadview in Cape Girardeau.

It will end Thursday with a political rally at the community center in Malden.
