SEMO NAMES PURYEAR TO STATE ASSOCIATION

Dr. Ann Puryear, associate professor of educational administration and counseling at Southeast Missouri State University, has been appointed as the school's representative on the Missouri American Council on Education's National Identification Program (ACE-NIP) for Women in Higher Education Administration.

Puryear was appointed by university President Dr. Dale Nitzschke.

ACE-NIP is a project of the Office of Women of the American Council on Education. Begun in 1977 with the announced purpose of advancing talented women in academic administration, the ACE-NIP program is committed to increasing the number of women in prominent higher education positions through a personalized system of identification and recommendation, as well as strong state and regional networks.

Puryear replaces Dr. SueAnn Strom, vice president for student affairs at Southeast, who has completed her two-year commitment with ACE-NIP. The Missouri ACE-NIP has about 100 members statewide and includes representatives from every college across the state.
