Missouri University Extension and McDonald's Restaurants have teamed up to provide some fun and educational family activities for dine-in customers at McDonald's.

Families who eat-in at McDonald's at Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Charleston, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, Hayti and Kennett will find helpful parenting information in their trayliners.

"Take a Break With Your Kids" trayliners offer parents low-cost activities that families can do together," said Mary Gosche, human development specialist with the University Extension Center at Jackson.

The activities are designed to fit into parents' schedules and feature topics such as building a child's self-esteem, strengthening family communications, expressing emotions and developing listening skills.

The "Take a Break With Your Kids" program supports doing things together, said Gosche.

Each month a new trayliner will be featured.
