Kohl has experience in real estate and real estate lending.

She previoulsy worked in real estate at Mexico. She also worked as a loan serving representative with Boatmen's Bank of Mid-Missouri and later, as a real estate loan secretary/processor at Commerce Bank in Cape Girardeau.

Kenneth E. Volkerding of Jackson has earned membership in Lutheran Brotherhood's 1995 Leaders' Club for sales performances.

Volkerding is associated with the organization's Pals Financial Group in St. Charles.

Leaders' Club is one of Lutheran Brotherhood's highest sales honors. Lutheran Brotherhood offers a broad range of financial products and services to Lutherans nationwide.

T. Ronald Hahs of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co., Cape Girardeau, has attained Knight status of the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation.

Hahs, an 18-year member of Round Table, attained Knight status by contributing significantly to the organization.

Since its inception in 1959, the foundation has donated more than $5.8 million to more than 600 charities around the world. The foundation is an independent international association of leading life insurance producers.

Janet L. Goncher, director of nursing at Doctors' Park Surgery Inc. since 1989, has been included in the 1996 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges," in recognition of outstanding merit and accomplishment as a student at Southeast Missouri State University's graduate school.

Goncher recently completed requirements for a master's degree in nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and Association of Operating Room Nurses.

Previous nursing experience includes medical/surgical and critical care nursing at St. Francis Medical Center and operating room/post-anesthesia nursing at Chaffee General Hospital.

She has been certified in operating room nursing since 1989, has been an advance cardiac life support instructor since 1980 and a basic life support instructor since 1979.

Dr. T.J. Glenn, a psychiatrist from Cape Girardeau, recently attended the American Academy of Family Physicians' conference at San Antonio.

"Geriatric Medicine" was the theme for the conference, which dealt with medical and psychiatric health issues impacting the elderly.

Ron Hess and Les Carlton have earned Triple Diamond awards from Navistar International Transportation Corp. of Chicago.

Hess, new truck sales representative of Wiethop Truck Sales Inc., 2350 Independence, received the Triple Diamond award for a third straight time.

Carlton, service manager at Wiethop, received his first Triple Diamond award.

Hess and Carlton received their awards during the annual Triple Diamond Recognition Event, held at Cancun, Mexico, at the Caesar Park Beach and Golf Resort.

Euley Simington, soil conservationist at Tamms, Ill., recently received a Natural Resources Conservation Service special service award for his efforts in assisting Illinois communities in addressing their natural resource concerns.

Simington was commended for his work in developing project proposals for Cairo, Mounds, Mound City, Hodges Park, Klondike and Pulaski.

Laurie Smalley of Anna, Ill., and Teresa Hunter of Ullin, Ill., have joined Tip of Illinois Health Services Inc.

Smalley, who has two years experience in the secretarial field, will divide duties as a secretary between the Tip offices at Anna and Metropolis.

Hunter, a registered nurse with a year's experience in the home/medical field, will serve as a nurse at the Anna office.

The Anna office serves residents of Johnson and Union counties, and the Metropolis office serves Massac County.

Tip of Carterville serves 27 Southern Illinois counties in home health services.

Six Missourians have been elected to National Cotton Council positions.

Charles H. Parker, a cotton grower from Senath, and John D. Hux, a Sikeston cooperative official, were elected to the council's 35-member board of directors. Parker was also re-elected regional director of the group's producer steering committee.

John L. Sanders was re-elected state producer chairman for Missouri-Illinois. David Blakemore of B & B Cotton of Campbell, is vice chairman of the Missouri-Illinois unit, and Kenneth L. Berry of Berry Gin Co. at Holland, is secretary. Charles R. Earnest of Dolphin Gin Co. of Steele was elected first vice president of the National Cotton Ginners Association.
