NEW ON THE BUSINESS SCENE: MOORES ARE NEW OWNERS OF DAIRY QUEEN IN SCOTT CITY

David and Becky Moore are new owners of the Dairy Queen Restaurant, 2406 Main St. in Scott City.

The couple recently purchased the restaurant, which has been in existence 10 years, from Cape Girardeau businessman Frank Bean.

Mrs. Moore has more than 12 years experience in restaurant management.

"The opportunity to acquire the restaurant became available and we decided to get into it," said David Moore, who works with heating and air-conditioning. He will continue that work but help out in the restaurant.

The restaurant is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:20 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
