New outpatient clinic opens in Jackson

JACKSON -- A new outpatient physical therapy clinic opens today in Jackson. The clinic is owned by three physical therapists who each have at least 15 years of experience.

A ribbon-cutting for Jackson Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, 310 E. Main St., will be held today at 9 a.m.

One of the therapists, Pattie Ammon said, "The three of us used to work at a hospital. We felt it was time for us to venture out on our own."

Ammon said Jackson has never had an outpatient physical therapy clinic.

The clinic will provide services for stroke patients, amputees, patients with back, neck and foot problems and others. Clients must be referred by a doctor. Medicare patients will be accepted.

The other owners are Cindy Drewett and Vicki Litzelfelner.

CRANMERS NEW OWNERS OF DALTON FLORIST IN JACKSON

JACKSON -- Retired schoolteacher Gail Cranmer and her husband, Bob, have purchased Dalton Florist in Jackson.

They don't have any experience in the floral business. "But we have a lot of people experience," she said. "And we've got four designers full time who have a lot of experience."

Cranmer said the most appealing part of the business is the chance to work with people. She does many of the floral deliveries herself.

The Dalton name will stay the same with the business, but plans call for an expansion to a larger shop.

"Our customer service is what we want to expand," she said.

The shop features fresh and silk flowers, balloons, fruit and gift baskets and a wedding consultant.

AFTER YEARS OF GROWTH, HARTLEIN ARCHERY MOVES

JACKSON -- Ron Hartlein started his archery shop in the basement of his home. After four years of growth, he has moved the business back home to a storefront in what used to be his garage.

Hartlein Archery and Sporting Goods moved to 1301 E. Jackson.

"The location is just tremendous," he said.

Motorists may have seen the black bear cutout outside his shop.

Hartlein carries both new and used bows and guns, archery accessories, shooting accessories, ammunition and fishing tackle.

"When it comes to hunting, you name it, I've got it," he said.
