A new corporate name of Solar Communications Inc. has been approved, unanimously, by Solar Press Inc. shareholders.

The change evolved from the need to better describe the company's abilities beyond printing and future growth plan, said Frank C. Hudetz, chairman and CEO of the Naperville, Ill., company.

The 34-year-old family land employee-owned firm, with more than 650 full-time employees, has printing and packaging operations at Perryville, Naperville and Aurora, Ill. Sales offices are located in Bridgewater, N.J.; Fort Collins, Colo.; Paris and Brussels.

Solar's main products have been direct mail promotions, magazine and newspaper inserts, and trading-card finishing.

The vision for the future, said Hudetz, is to create more value-added services for customers in promotional distribution."
