KARNAK MAN KILLED RUNNING BUS OFF ROAD
JOPPA, Ill. -- A Karnak man was killed early Monday when he ran a mini school bus off the road and into a creek. An Illinois State Police spokesperson said Marvin M. Wartenbe, 46, was a bus driver for the Shawnee Development Council, which serves disabled people. The bus had no passengers.
It sank into the water, but Pulaski County Coroner Bill Atherton said Wartenbe died of internal injuries, not drowning.
