The students are Christopher Bucher, son of Frank and Margie Bucher of Kelso; Tara Heisserer, daughter of David and Patricia Heisserer of Cape Girardeau; and Noelle Jedan, daughter of Dieter and Nancy Jedan of Cape Girardeau.

The national honor society encourages and rewards academic excellence among first-year college students. To be considered for membership, students must attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average during their first semester or year.
