CAPE STUDENT MAGNA CUM LAUDE AT DRAKE U.

Jennifer R. Kopf of Cape Girardeau graduated magna cum laude from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She received a bachelor of arts in journalism and mass communication degree from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Kopf graduated with honors, which are bestowed on students who complete five honors courses and a senior thesis and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3. As part of her senior thesis, she developed a magazine prospectus and prototype titled "Aspect: Information with Attitude."

She also received departmental honors and was elected to Kappa Tau Alpha, a national honor society for journalism students.

She is the daughter of Kent and Sue Kopf.
