Greg Hutteger and Myra Seyer have been named January Students of the Month by the Cape Girardeau Elk's Lodge 639.

Hutteger, 17, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hutteger of Cape Girardeau. He is a senior at Cape Girardeau Central High School and is a member of the Spanish Club, Beta Club, National Honor Society and the Letterman's Club. He also participates in baseball and football. He was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students, ranks in the top 10 percent of the senior class and received a Scholastic Athlete award.

Seyer, 17, daughter of Michael and Brenda Seyer of Cape Girardeau, is a senior at Notre Dame High School. She is involved in Pep Club, SADD, Spanish Club and Future Business Leaders of America. She participants in varsity softball and the musical crew. Last year, she received a band award. She also volunteers at St. Francis Medical Center and is a lector at St. Mary's Cathedral.
