ST. VINCENT SCHOLAR BOWL TEAMS PLACE IN EVENT
The St. Vincent de Paul seventh- and eighth-grade scholar bowl teams, coached by Mary Sue Sharp, recently received state honors in the Missouri Thinking Cape Quiz Bowl. The eighth-grade team received a trophy and ribbons for its second-place finish in the state, competing with 78 other teams and scoring 1,244 out of a possible 1,500. Seventh-grade team members are Matthew Bollinger, Jacinda Bratton, Cory Elfink, Mark Fisher, Christien Kimball, Jennifer Markin, Scott Reinagel, Amanda Sharp, Michael Sirimaturos and Jean Stoverink. The team finished third in their grade level and 12th overall in the state.
