EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Carrie M. Ivie of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Mike Johnson and Richard Farquhar will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.
Ivie, 96, died Monday, March 6, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Sept. 26, 1898, in Union County, Ky., daughter of Charles and Josephine Maddox Farrell. She and Ferman Harrison Ivie were married in 1911 in Morganfield, Ky. He died in 1963.

She moved to East Prairie in 1990 from Henderson, Ky.
Survivors include a son, Joe Ivie of East Prairie; three daughters, Mary Piper and Agnes Futch of East Prairie, Francile Spainhoward of Henderson; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters and a brother.
