Members of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and Delta Delta Delta Sorority will be "Hot tubbing for the American Lung Association" Wednesday at Imo's Pizza in Cape Girardeau.

The members will dip into a hot tub on the parking lot and take turns sitting for 30-minute intervals for 48 continuous hours.

Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems is also contributing $5 for every cellular phone that they sell during the week. They are also providing a stationary cellular phone on site during the 48 hours so that people can call in and make pledges.

Radio station Q-99 will broadcast live from the event Thursday morning. People will be encouraged to stop by the site and drop off a donation.

Money raised for the American Lung Association will go towards projects such as Open Airways for Schools, an education push towards providing schools with the training and materials they need to appropriately meet the needs of asthmatics. Another program is Camp Superkids, a summer camp designed specifically for the needs of asthmatic campers who would not otherwise be able to attend camp because of their health.
