CAPE MAN KILLED IN CRASH AT ROUTE Y-W
A Cape Girardeau man was killed and a passenger in his car seriously injured in a traffic accident at the intersection of Route Y and W in Cape Girardeau County. Glen Parker, 30, of Cape Girardeau was killed. The driver of the other vehicle, Jennifer Wengler, 19, of Fredericktown was injured also and was admitted at St. Francis Medical Center, where she was in stable condition Friday night.
The accident happened at 6:35 a.m. Friday.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that Wengler failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Parker's car in the side. The report didn't reflect any summonses.
