During the summer, blood donations run low while the need remains high. A safe and adequate blood supply must be available for those patients who need it and depend on a strong donor base of individuals willing to share their good health with others. The American Red Cross urges healthy people to give blood regularly -- donors may give every eight weeks.

Currently, the supply of type O and B blood has dropped to critical levels.

Sunday, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, 8 to noon.

Monday, at First Presbyterian Church, Wakefield and Allen, Sikeston, from 1 to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, at St. Francis Medical Center, Cape Girardeau from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday, at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, Cape Girardeau from 2 to 7 p.m.

Friday, at Country Kettle, Biehle, from 3 to 7 p.m.

Sunday, July 30 at St. Augustine School, Kelso from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
