One of the benefits of growing older is the prospect of becoming a grandparent. But, like the times, grandparenting changes. Updating expectant grandparents about changing trends in infant care is the focus of Southeast Missouri Hospital's Grandparents Class.

Classes are held four times a year. The next class will be held Tuesday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in Classroom A of the hospital's Regional Cancer Center. To preregister, call 651-5833. There is a $10 fee per participant.

Topics covered in class include baby care update, hyperbilirubin-jaundice of the newborn, breast and bottle feeding, infant safety, growth and development stages, the importance of grandparents, myths and wives tales and a question-answer period.

Participants also take a tour of the hospital's labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery areas.

Classes are held in February, May, August and November.
