ADVANCE -- "The Sound of Music" will be presented at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 through 12 at the Advance Elementary School Auditorium.

The musical is being sponsored by the Tri-County Arts Association.

The cast of 22 includes eight children. All the children are from the Advance area while the adult members of the cast are from Marble Hill, Greenville, Zalma, Chaffee and Advance.

Among the leads are Cindy Gilliland, Rachel Shaw, Ken Warren, Jennifer Phillips, Scott Thomsen, Ben Nolen, Jennifer Mayberry, Deana Middleton and Randy Bailey.

Bailey will direct.

The children's costumes have been made by Cindy Gilliland and Mildred Wiggins.

In past years the association has presented "Tom Sawyer" and "Unhappily Ever After." The association includes members from Cape Girardeau, Bollinger and Stoddard counties.

Thursday, Aug. 10, is senior night. All seniors will be admitted for $1. Otherwise, tickets for all three nights are $2 for adults and $1 for children.
