RIVERS:

Big Niangua (above the Bennett Springs State Park): Slightly up, clearing; all fishing fair.

Castor (above Zalma): Clear, low; sunfish good on crickets and ultralight crankbaits; catfish good at night on worms and minnows; black bass good on live bait and topwater lures.

Current: Clear, normal; all species fair on artificial and natural bait.

Jack's Fork: Clear, normal; smallmouth bass, sunfish and goggle-eye fair on crayfish, nightcrawlers and small plastic worms; all other fishing slow.

Meramec (below Eureka): Murky, low; bass fair early and late using topwater and spinner lures; flathead catfish fair on minnows; channel catfish fair on worms and stinkbaits; panfish fair on natural bait.

Meramec (above Sullivan): Clear, normal; smallmouth bass good on flies; panfish good on natural bait.

Mississippi (below Charleston): Stained, slowly falling; all species slow.

Mississippi (above St. Louis): Muddy, 1' high and rising; drum good on worms; catfish fair on live bait; all other fishing slow.

Missouri (below New Haven): Muddy, high; catfish good on natural bait; drum good on worms; all other fishing slow.

Missouri (below Lexington): Low, clearing; channel catfish good on live bait and stinkbaits; flathead catfish good on live bait and stinkbaits.

Missouri (below Iowa line): Murky, slightly above normal; channel and flathead catfish good using creek chubs, bluegill and goldfish on throwlines at night in the holes below the dike; carp fair on worms in the slow water.

St. Francis (below Wappapello): Low and falling; sunfish fair on crickets; channel catfish fair on worms; all other fishing slow.

St. Francis (above Wappapello): Clear, low; black bass good on live bait and topwater lures; sunfish good on crickets and ultralight crankbaits; catfish good at night on worms and minnows.

LAKES:

Bull Shoals (East): Clear, 12' above normal; black bass fair on topwater lures, crayfish and live bait; bluegill good on nightcrawlers and crickets; catfish fair on hot dogs using juglines and on live bait using limblines; crappie fair on small jigs and minnows; all other fishing slow.

Bull Shoals (K-Dock): 13 1/2' above power pool; bluegill and crappie fair on nightcrawlers and worms; black bass and walleye fair on deep running lures; all other fishing slow.

Clearwater: Clear, normal; crappie fair on minnows working bottom in main lake; black bass fair on plastic worms in deep bluff areas; bluegill fair on worms and crickets along bank; catfish fair on live bait using juglines and on cut bait using trotlines; carp good on canned corn using rod and reel; white bass fair on minnows; all other fishing slow.

Council Bluff: Clear, slightly below normal; redear good on crickets; bass fair on artificial lures and live bait; catfish fair on liver; crappie poor.

Duck Creek: Clear, normal; bass good on plastic worms, spinnerbaits and topwater lures; bluegill fair to good on crickets and worms; catfish fair on cut bait; crappie slow; vegetation 80%.

Lake of the Ozarks (Bagnell tailwater): Normal, dingy; all fishing slow.

Lake of the Ozarks (Glaize): Clear; bluegill, catfish and white bass good; black bass fair; all other fishing slow.

Lake of the Ozarks (Gravois): Clear; catfish good; black bass fair; crappie poor to fair; white bass poor.

Lake of the Ozarks (Niangua): Clear; black bass good on plastic worms and crankbaits running deep; crappie good on minnows around and under brush in 15' of water fishing 5'-7' deep; white bass fair on Rooster Tails and shad; catfish good to excellent on prepared bait and cut sunfish; bluegill excellent on worms.

Lake of the Ozarks (Osage): Murky; bluegill, catfish and white bass good; black bass fair; all other fishing slow.

Little Dixie: Clear, full pool; largemouth bass fair on spinnerbaits; white crappie good on minnows; catfish good on natural baits, liver and worms; redear fair on worms and natural bait.

Longview: 4 1/3' high, clarity 32"; bass fair using crankbaits in the open water; catfish good using hot dogs; all other species slow.

Mark Twain: Clear at dam, muddy in arms, 3' low; catfish excellent on trotlines and limblines using live bait; sunfish excellent on crickets and worms in 3' depths close to bank; bass good early and late on worms and crankbaits in 8-10' depths; crappie fair in 8-12' depths on chartreuse jigs and minnows.

Montrose: Murky, normal pool; black bass good using topwater lures, plastic worms and chartreuse pig and jig early and late; catfish good using cut shad, goldfish, and worms; crappie fair using minnows.

Stockton: Clear, 4' high; walleye good off main points using nightcrawlers and spoons; white bass good trolling early and late; bluegill good using crickets; black bass fair off points using plastic worms; crappie fair using minnows and jigs.

Table Rock (Main Lake): Normal, 2' low; bluegill excellent on the shore running 4-10' deep on crickets and nightcrawlers; catfish good in 15' water on live and cut bait; smallmouth bass good on crankbaits; bass fair on nightcrawlers and artificial bait; walleye fair while drifting; all other fishing slow.

Table Rock (upper James River Arm): Clear, 2' low; black bass fair on plastic worms, and nightcrawlers early and late on crankbaits and topwater lures; bluegill fair to good on crickets and nightcrawlers; catfish good on trotlines on prepared baits and live baits; all other fishing slow.

Wappapello: Lake level normal; discharge 550 CFS, 323.05 tailwater; bass good in early a.m. and late p.m. on topwater lures and plastic worms; bluegill good on crickets in coves; crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 10'-12' depths; catfish poor. NOTE: Anglers are encouraged to harvest bass under 11 inches (daily limit 6) to reduce the numbers of small bass in Wappapello Lake.
