Brynn McDougall, 17, recently participated in the Eastern Music Festival at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.

She was one of 176 music students chosen to attend. Students gave several performances throughout the area while studying orchestral, chamber and solo music.

McDougall has studied cello for 12 years. She is the daughter of Gerald and Karen McDougall of Cape Girardeau. She attends Cape Girardeau Central High School.
