Authorized purchase of three new 500/560 KVA single-phase voltage regulators from Fletcher-Reinhardt Co. of Maryland Heights in the amount of $32,496.

Authorized partial payment of $11,697.66 to Hogan Painting and Sandblasting as per power plant elevated water tank project.

Authorized agreement between city of Jackson, Jackson Public Library Board and Riverside Regional Library Board to merger respective libraries. Mark Grimm of Gilmore & Bell will be bond counsel and John Dudley will be architect.

Street Committee

Changed regular council meeting from Monday, Sept. 4, to Tuesday, Sept. 5, due to Labor Day holiday.

Set a public hearing on the 1995 tax rate for Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Considered motion granting permission to local civic organizations and businesses to sell "YELL" newspapers on city streets on Sept. 12.

Amended "Parking Prohibited At All Times On Certain Streets" schedules to include no parking zones along portions of South Missouri Street, North High Street and East Mary Street.

Approved final plat of Parkwood Place Subdivision and Bent Creek on the Green Condominium.

Set a public hearing for Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m. to consider rezoning of Lot 4, Block 2 of Eastview Subdivision from industrial to residential as requested by Gary Bruce.

Authorized barricading of streets at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, for annual Homecomers celebration.
