BAND LEADER TO DIRECT KICKOFF CLASSIC SHOW
Southeast Missouri State University's activity bands director will direct the halftime show of the Kickoff Classic Aug. 28. Director Barry Bernhardt will conduct more than 600 musicians, including high-school bands and the Boston College marching band.
The nationally televised game marks the start of the college football season.

Ohio State University will take on Boston College in the Meadowlands at Newark, N.J. at noon CDT.
This marks the second consecutive year that Bernhardt has been in charge of the halftime show at the Kickoff Classic.
Bernhardt also has directed halftime shows at college bowl games and served as assistant director of the halftime show for Super Bowl XXII in San Diego.
At Southeast, Bernhardt directs the Golden Eagles Marching Band, the Southeast Show Band, the University Concert Band and the University Jazz Band.
