JONESBORO, Ark. -- Cape Girardeau native Tony Spinner has released the second album of his musical career with "My '64." The guitarist/singer, who moved to Jonesboro in 1982, recorded the CD on the Blues Bureau International label. The title song refers to his first car, a '64 Chevy Super Sport he still owns. The CD also offers tunes called "Goin' to Missouri" and "Arkansas Shuffle."...

JONESBORO, Ark. -- Cape Girardeau native Tony Spinner has released the second album of his musical career with "My '64."

The guitarist/singer, who moved to Jonesboro in 1982, recorded the CD on the Blues Bureau International label.

The title song refers to his first car, a '64 Chevy Super Sport he still owns. The CD also offers tunes called "Goin' to Missouri" and "Arkansas Shuffle."

Spinner's first album was called "Saturn Blues." He also played on the tribute albums "Hats Off to Stevie Ray" and "Fit For a King."

Spinner has toured with the renowned guitarist Pat Travers, and most recently played with a Memphis band called The Famous Unknowns.

The Tony Spinner Band, which includes Jerry Bone on bass and Alan Hill on drums, will tour to support the album and will play Broussard's in Cape Girardeau Sept. 22 and 23.

Spinner, a 1981 graduate of Cape Central, is the son of Louis and Irene Spinner of Cape Girardeau.

He and his wife, Sonya, live on a farm outside Jonesboro.
